—— Why Choose us

Why Choose TERVEX Outdoor Rugged Devices

IP68 and MIL-STD-810H durability

Selected models are IP68 rated against dust and water and MIL-STD-810H certified, with 26-drop sequences covering every face, edge and corner, plus operating temperatures from -20°C to 60°C.

ATEX Zone 2/22 explosion-proof options

Selected rugged smartphones are certified for use in explosive atmospheres, making them suitable for oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical and utility inspections where standard phones are not permitted.

Glove and wet-hand touch

Displays support glove and wet-hand operation, so devices stay usable in rain, snow, humidity or while wearing protective gloves and other PPE.

Multi-day battery with reverse charging

Battery capacity from 5800mAh up to 20000mAh delivers up to around 25.5 hours of use, with 33W fast charging and reverse charging that turns the device into an emergency power bank for other equipment.

4G/5G connectivity and multi-constellation GNSS

Multi-carrier 4G LTE, or 5G with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 on the largest model, plus GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS positioning, NFC and dual-SIM or SIM plus storage card support.

Night vision, cameras and outdoor accessories

Up to 64MP main cameras with 20MP night-vision sensors and infrared illumination, high-power speakers, camping lights, kickstands and pogo-pin accessories extend the device well beyond basic communication.

Frequently Asked Questions

An outdoor rugged device is a smartphone, large-screen handheld or tablet designed to keep working where consumer devices fail: in rain, dust, mud, heat, cold, direct sunlight and repeated drops. Compared with standard phones, outdoor rugged devices add IP68 sealing, MIL-STD-810H drop and temperature testing, glove-and-wet-hand touch, much larger batteries, stronger speakers and, on selected models, ATEX certification, 5G and night-vision imaging.

A normal smartphone is optimised for thinness, camera quality and cost in urban use. A rugged smartphone prioritises uptime: a reinforced frame with wide corner protection, IP68 water and dust sealing, MIL-STD-810H certification with multi-face drop testing, operation from -20°C to 60°C, glove and wet-hand touch, a battery measured in days rather than hours, and features such as NFC, dual SIM, pogo-pin charging and, where required, ATEX certification.

ATEX is the European framework for equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres. Zone 2 covers areas where an explosive gas atmosphere is unlikely and, if it occurs, exists only briefly, while Zone 22 covers the equivalent risk from combustible dust. Selected TERVEX rugged smartphones carry ATEX Zone 2/22 certification, which allows them to be used in those areas. Zone rating requirements differ by site and by substance, so the specific installation must always be confirmed with the site safety authority.

Battery capacity ranges from 5800mAh on the compact 6.56-inch model up to 20000mAh on the 10.95-inch 5G tablet, with rated use of roughly 17 to 25.5 hours depending on model, workload and radio usage. All models support 33W fast charging, and selected models support reverse charging, which lets the device act as a power bank to recharge a second handset, scanner or accessory in the field.

Yes. TERVEX outdoor rugged devices are specified for glove and wet-hand touch operation, so the screen responds when the user is wearing protective or winter gloves, or when rain, sweat or spray is on the glass. This matters in cold-chain, outdoor, utility and hazardous-area work where removing PPE or drying hands before every entry is not practical.

Night vision combines a dedicated low-light sensor with infrared illumination, so the device can capture usable images and video in near-darkness without a visible light source. Field teams use it for night inspections, security patrols, search and rescue, wildlife and perimeter checks, and for documenting equipment or access points where a standard camera or a phone torch would be ineffective or unsafe.

The range covers multi-carrier 4G LTE bands for international deployment, and the 10.95-inch flagship adds 5G NR together with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. All models include GNSS positioning with GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS. Because band availability varies by country and operator, TERVEX confirms the supported bands against the target market before shipment.

Yes. TERVEX offers OEM and ODM services including private labeling, logo and packaging customization, memory and storage options, colour and accessory configuration, software preloading and project-specific certification requirements such as ATEX. Our team supports distributors, integrators and brand owners from sample evaluation through volume delivery.
